Status After Successful Testing
First application-based Identrus DSMS to
simplify integration of merchant applications with Identrus global
e-commerce trust system

signature messaging system (DSMS) branded as the Kyberpass Trust
Services Gateway™, has successfully completed interoperability
testing and is now Identrus Compliant.

The Kyberpass Trust Services Gateway offers an integrated set of
system services that can be called by a merchant’s business
applications to request trust and value-added services from their
financial institution using the Identrus system. The extensible
design of the Kyberpass Trust Services Gateway supports easy addition
of new value-added transaction services.
This unique server based architecture (passive integration) offers
financial institutions superior return on investment and accelerated
time-to-market for merchants. Unlike first-generation DSMS toolkits,
the Kyberpass Trust Services Gateway provides financial institutions
and their customers several benefits over a traditional toolkit
(active integration) approach:
- A simple function call added to the application facilitates
a call for a trust service minimizing the complexity, development,
and support by the merchant
- The architecture is independent of application type, web server,
and operating system
- The architecture facilitates a single platform support for any
number of application servers

by a financial institution, Identrus Express Partner, or application

The open, modular, standards-based architecture of the Kyberpass
Trust Services Gateway server offers merchants a wide range of security
features well beyond those specified in the Identrus Digital Signature
Messaging System (DSMS) specification including:
- Easy to integrate into merchant business applications and minimal
support required
- Distributed system services and service resolver architecture
facilitates a distributed implementation across multiple platforms
for high scalability and performance tuning
- Integration of Trust Services Gateway security events and threshold
alarms on Windows platforms with administrator paging feature
- Support for secure local and remote administration using Windows
administration tools
- Confirmed Interoperability with hardware security modules from
Chrysalis-ITS and nCipher
- Passive integration architecture facilitates a hosting option
for merchants
- Plug-and-play architecture facilitates real time loading and
removal of transaction service handlers
- Network time service for coordinated transaction and logging
time stamping
- Comprehensive logging subsystem for audit and billing support
configurable for standard file import to reporting tools and databases,
or logging directly to an ODBC/SQL compliant database
- Transaction Service Handlers provided for Identrus infrastructure
services (OCSP, CSC, and PING)
