Delivering E-payments with Certainty

Eleanor is a trusted e-payment system for businesses worldwide. Developed by Identrus – a global trust system that provides identity validation and warranty protection for global B2B e-commerce – Eleanor is an open standard that specifies how electronic financial instruments such as payment orders can be subject to conditional instruction, thereby ensuring business terms are met before a trusted payment transaction is processed.

Eleanor components integrate within the Identrus four-corner trust model. In particular, two additional components are required:

1. A component used by financial institutions (FI) to cooperate with an existing Identrus Transaction Coordinator; and
   
2. A component for FI customers that need to communicate with their FIs using Eleanor schemas.

Kyberpass provides both components as plug-ins containing sets of Kyberpass Service Handlers that seamlessly integrate within the Kyberpass TrustPlatform architecture. These are provided alongside the Kyberpass Transaction Coordinator and Kyberpass Trust Services Gateway (which includes a DSMS that can support hosting). Kyberpass also provides:

• An interface used to integrate existing applications within this infrastructure; and
  
• A customizable Eleanor logging service. Integration with existing back-end systems is a straightforward matter using well-documented interfaces.
